An immersion suit is a major detail of undersea boatman equipment. And independent from its purpose, it should perform the main function – to conserve heat of a human body, as it is rather difficult to spend several hours even in warm water.

Rubex Group offers a wide range of immersion suits of “dry” and “wet” types, work-survival suits. Immersion suits are made of home-produced material similar to import material “neoprene”.

Survival suit

A survival suit belongs to personal safety devices.

It is designed to:

  • keep a person on water surface;
  • protect against overcooling;
  • ensure safety for a person to stay in water within at least 6 hours at 0 °C.

A survival suit is made of orange home-produced material similar to import material “neoprene”. The material is waterproof, resistant to exposure of oil products, doesn’t burn. Thickness of the main material of a survival suit is 7,5 mm. it is authorized by Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation.

A survival suit consists of a coverall (with an airproof zipper) combined with a headpiece, a head rest, gloves and boots.

A survival suit is equipped with:

  • detecting devices (reflective stripes, a whistle, electric fire for search);
  • a rescue basket;
  • a safety line;
  • a packaging bag.

4 sizes are produced:

Size Height, cm, not more Weight, kg
I 140-160 up to 75
II 160-180 up to 95
III 180-200 up to 115
IV 200-220 up to 135

Work-survival suit

A work-survival suit is intended to protect a person against overcooling in case of rescue missions on ice and in water at air temperature from – 30 °C to 10 °C within 4 hours.

A work-survival suit is made of orange home-produced material similar to import material “neoprene”. The material is waterproof, resistant to exposure of oil products, doesn’t burn. Thickness of the main material is 6,5 ±0,5 mm.

A work-survival suit consists of a coverall combined with a helmet, a head rest and rubber boots. The set contains three-fingered or five-fingered gloves and socks.

Containment of a work-survival suit is provided by a bell under bundling packaging (APK-1) or an airproof zipper on shoulders (APK-2) and obturation on hands.

A work-survival suit is equipped with a rescue basket and detecting devices during dark hours.

5 sizes of suits are produced. By agreement with customer manufacture of different sizes is allowed.

I 170 92
II 172 96
III 178 104

Wet diving suit

A wet diving suit is intended to protect a diver’s body against direct contact with water environment and against overcooling during underwater work. It is operated in sea and fresh water at a depth of up to 20m.

A wet diving suit is made of orange home-produced material similar to import material “neoprene”. The material is waterproof, resistant to exposure of oil products, doesn’t burn.

A wet diving suit consists of a coverall without sleeves, a jacket combined with a headpiece, boots with corrugated sole or socks and five-fingered gloves.

Thickness of jacket, coverall, boot (socks) material is 6,0 ±1,0mm, thickness of gloves material is 3,0 ±1,0mm. By agreement with the consumer production of immersion suits from material of other thickness is possible. Jacket sleeves and coverall legs in the area of elbows and knees have strengthening (elbow pieces, kneecaps).

5 sizes of suits are produced. By agreement with customer manufacture of different sizes is allowed.

Dry diving suit

A dry diving suit  is intended to isolate the diver’s body from a contact with water environment and ensure protection against overcooling.

A dry diving suit is operated in sea and fresh water at a depth of up to 30m with the temperature of sea water up to 2 °C, fresh water up to 0 °C, with air temperature up to – 30 °C.

A dry diving suit is made of orange home-produced material similar to import material “neoprene”. The material is waterproof, resistant to impact of oil products, doesn’t support burning. Material thickness is 6,5±1,0mm.

A dry diving suit consists of a coverall combined with a headpiece, boots with corrugated sole, three-fingered or five-fingered gloves.

A dry diving suit can be produced with three types of opening:
• an airproof zipper is on the diver’s shoulders (ГКВС-1);
• an airproof zipper goes from the middle of the hip across the forepart of a coverall round the neck and goes down to the middle of the breast (ГКВС-2);
• without an airproof zipper with the opening on the breast with use of a bell under bundling packaging instead of an airproof zipper (ГКВС-3).

Air valves and excess pressure valves are provided in dry diving suits. Sleeves and legs of the coverall in places most subjected to attrition have strengthening (elbow pieces, kneecaps). Dry diving suit design allows to use heat-insulating clothes or insulation during work in cold water.

5 sizes are produced:

V 188 46-47 108-116

Hot-water suit

A hot-water suit is intended to isolate the diver’s body from direct contact with the environment; to ensure his protection against overcooling by means of a water heating system during long-term underwater engineering work; operation using the diving equipment in sea and fresh water at a depth of up to 60m at sea water temperature up to – 2 °C, fresh water up to 0 °C
